New in This Neighborhood?

We get to start a most beautiful and profound word today (John 1:1-28). It seems, though, that sometimes in the grand verse its easy to lose the personal message. John starts out speaking of Jesus, who was so intimately involved and delighting in every detail of creation - including me, that He wanted me and you to know it and Him. So powerful is His love that even though He would be ignored by the world and rejected by His race, He still came and "dwelt among us" or moved into the neighborhood. He still became flesh and blood and muscle and bone and heart and walked out a life of love that would last. Then He made sure by the power of the Spirit that I would find out.

Thank you Lord for coming to this neighborhood and all You have done so that I would know. I love You.
