I like to hope that my love for Jesus will grow to be something like Mary Magdalene's as seen in our reading today (John 19:31-20:10). Did you notice that at the first chance she is trying to get back close to Him? No darkness, agony (she was by the cross), death or huge impossible stone could get in her way. And when she discovered that He wasn't there, she ran to the friends most upset that they could not find Jesus.
Maybe having seven demons cast out of you ends up looking like total devotion. However I'm thinking that knowing Him and His grace to free us from an entire life of captivity to the Liar is enough to motivate great love.
